Rebound was a book art event at the Site Gallery in Sheffield. I was asked to propose and organise an exhibition to run alongside the annual Off the Shelf festival of reading and writing in October 1995. One hundred and fifty identical hardback books were sent to artists who answered an advertisement in Artists Newsletter. Participants were invited to work with or intervene in their book in any way they choose. Over 100 books were returned and the range and quality of work was such that the gallery decided to hold an expanded version in December/January. In this show, the altered books were shown alongside other bookworks by the same artists under the title Companion Volumes
